I'm from Norman, Oklahoma, so I grew up hearing about the Lips. Unfortunately
I didn't really discover them musically until The Soft Bulletin. I've
now seen the Lips twice, both times in Oklahoma City. Next up- Red Rocks!
I love the Lips for their originality. I love Steven for his humanity.

own music creativity more than any other musican. i just finished my
freshman year at college and everyday this year we would hang out blasting
the new at war cd. my friend just had a early edition copy sittin on
his desk and he didnt even really like the flaming lips. he said his
brother gave it to him and told him to listen to it but he hadnt. i
have been a lips fan for a while now so i was crapping my pants when
i saw he had the cd already. im going to see the lips august 3rd in
ohio, and august 4th in michigan. lalapalooza is that weekend but i
dont think im going to go to that to see the lips again cause that would
be way to much concert/money spend time. but yea...i love mr drozd.
he is a genius...the end.

I'm a 24 year old man from Denmark. I am a musician, and inspired by
Steven, I try to play as many instruments as possible, preferably at
the same time... The Lips have been one of my favorite bands since the
first time I heard Soft Bulletin. I love their songs, their sound, their
arrangements, their shows, the whole package really!I have come to realise
how huge a part Steven plays in the creation of this wonderful music,
and so, when I saw this club mentioned in the book by J. Derogatis,
I thought I'd sign up, mainly to show my appreciation to Mr. Steven
Drozd, for the wonderful times he has given everyone of us.

Yes, I have seen the Flaming Lips live. For those who have experienced
it, they kno wthere are no words in any language created by the human
race that can describe the feelings that overtake you when you see and
hear the greatest band in this face of the Earth. Its and experience
of self abstraction. But about me, umm Im 19, I was born and live in
Guatemala, a small country in Central America, and music is my passion.
and i recently saw the Flaming Lips in Sasquatch music festival, great
hail storm btw, it made the lips play for more time, so to whoever caused
it, thank you. Favourite lips record, Soft Bulletin.

Semi-multi-instumentalist minimalist with a weakness for thick, layered
synths. A fan for many years, I recently attended my first Lips show
at Wakarusa. There is no turning back.

Big Big fan of the lips sinces seeing them in 93, Have been to see every
London UK gig since this time, with the exception of the boombox experiments
at the Shepherds Bush Empire in summer of 98. I play drums and adore
Stevens style of playing and total musicality. Why he isn't universally
revered is beyond me. I like drumming, kayaking, listening to vinyl
in my loft and making fine cocktails.

Greetings - I've been a longtime Lips and Steven Drozd fan since my
days in college. I'm a practicing Architect working at a firm in Austin
Texas and I also teach Multimedia/graphics classes @ Austin Community
College. I'd have to say my all-time favorite live show would have to
be the one where Beck & the Lips played together. Seventh row seats,
dead center...totally awesome. I'm looking forward to Austin City Limits
but unfortunately the band can only play for an hour. Hopefully, they
can come to Austin for another solo gig. As for my favorite album(s)?
I'd have to say every one starting with 'Clouds Taste Metallic'.

I am a music gonzo freaker who loves the flaming lips and drozd's werk.
I love travel, sunshine, and I tink that the soft bulletin restored
my faith in creativity. less argy bargy and more honey dripped harmonies
would do this planet a tinge of good.

I decided the Flaming Lips were my favourite band in 1997 nad saw them
3 times in 1999 at the height of the Soft Bulletin jazz. My favourite
album is still probably Transmissions from the Satellite Heart because
it was my induction. It also, ironically marked the Steven Drozd era,
which let's face it, is what this is all about. Albert einstein was
probably the last genius that humanity has seen, but if I had to make
an exception for the field of music, it'd be Steven Gregory Drozd. I'm
just some guy.

I am tall, skinny, bespectacled, and utterly delicious!!! When not listening
to the Quicksilver Messenger Service, Deicide or Fallout Boy, I grudgingly
tolerate Yoshimi/Future Head/Clouds/Bulletin/etc. I can't pick a fave
accurately because it changes every day. My goal this year is to FINALLY
get the opportunity to see these brilliant bastards in the skin. Oh,
and to learn how to cook mac-n-cheese. My feet are horrifying. Stay
in school. Love, Patrick. XOXOXO

I got to meet Steven after a live Flaming Lips show. He was by far the
nicest musician I've met...well...Him and Wayne are both really friendly.
Steven actually pestered a guy who had a bummed out look on his face
and asked him what he could do to make him happy. That's pretty intense.
Steven Rules.

I've seen the lips 6 times. Met Wayne, Steven and Kliph at the Electric
Picnic in Ireland last year. Last time I saw them was in Munich this
summer and I finally got to dance on stage in a Santa costume. Standing
next to Steven while we waited to go on stage, you could tell he was
soooo nervous. I asked him if he always gets nervous before a show and
he said "yeah, reeeally nervous". I formed a very large soft spot for
him right then. Such genius! Such humility! Such a sweetie!

I'm John. I live in Seattle and I miss the Lips!! I saw them here twice
and was moved beyond measure. I think the first time I saw them play
was on Letterman doing She Don't Use Jelly. I just finished watching
the Fearless Freaks and reading Staring at Sound. And yes Steven D is
an incredible musician - he and Wayne and Michael make such a killer
musical team. My favorite Lips album is The Soft Bulletin followed by
Yoshimi. Hey, whatever happened to Long John Silver's?

me for my English? I'm french canadian ^^'. I love the Lips. I never
saw them live, but it's a thing I would really like to do. Steven Drozd
is evidently the most talented member of the band, that's why I'm currently
joining the club ^^. I play music (piano, accordion, clarinet, a little
bit of guitar) and I enjoy listening to music. My favorite album of
the Lips is Yoshimi, but I also love Clouds Taste Metallic. That's all

just awesome guys. Actually watched the Lolla set from ONSTAGE. Feel
